welcome to my journal of words and visuals

“Writing is an act of vulnerability — an attempt at honesty, shaping your thoughts into words and hoping they hold their truth.”

ABOUT CARA

As a storyteller, I see myself as an artist, but I struggle to call myself one.

When I see the world lay out its stories, I am often deeply touched and inspired to write, to capture and to write. This comes so naturally to me and I have wanted to create a platform where I can express these parts of myself.

I have a little history in photography, film photography mostly, but I never fully pursued this passion as I hated the way I felt when I did it for work and not the pure joy of it. I have always been a writer of sorts, not in the least bit professional, but it has been a daily ritual for as long as I was a little person. I remember writing adventure stories when I was a kid, then journalling my emotions as a teeneager. I write only when I am inspired and well, we all know just how inspiring the natural world can be.
